The fusion of coastal New Zealand and Tropical Island Holidays are the inspiring factors to this design. By creating an oasis that is sympathetic to the original landscape, this garden aims to nestle the towering beach house back into its surrounding landscape.
Waiheke Island stone, rocks, boulders, stone sleepers and hardwood have been carefully crafted to portray a paradise-like atmosphere to the house whilst in keeping with a coastal colour palette - The Colours of Waiheke.
The garden incorporates a roof top garden that is situation on top of the existing garage, an extension of living space that is great for entertaining. The outdoor living room features retractable sliding doors, louvers and an outdoor fireplace that creates a natural flow of indoor to outdoor living space.
The overall visual effect is Coastal Hauraki Gulf with hints of tropical South Pacific islands - an emulsion of the tropical oasis and the iconic kiwi batch. Sticking to a neutral colour palette and low maintenance coastal plants, this garden aims to celebrate the beach and reduce the suburban look of the house.
